OK, I just finished re-doing the wood/glass for the transom on my 14' jon boat and I had to drill out the rivets that hold the brace between the transom and the bottom of the hull in order to do the work.
My question is: can I use closed head blind rivets and 5200 or do I have to go buy a rivet gun/bucking bar and use solid rivets? Grainger has these: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/MARSON-Blind-Rivet-4Y114?Pid=search
that supposedly are 500# shear strength each and there are six on the brace. I can't imagine that wouldn't be strong enough, but I'll defer to the judgement of those who actually have some experience in the matter.
