351w water in cly

'76 merc 351w(ser#45xxxxx) getting water in cly #8 after running for about 5min on muffs.
No water in oil runs great till it builds some temp in the eng.

I have next to to experience with ford engines are these things bad about head gaskets,cracked heads, or intakes.

you can test to see if the problem is in the engine or exhaust. trade out a couple of your manifold bolts with 2 that are 4 or 5 inches long. Remove all the rest except one. run engine till it is warm shut off. back out last bolt and slide manifold away from head and watch to see if your getting water.

My first thought was exhaust but it gets the water while it's running.

Thanks for the test method i will give it a shot.
