I am starting to restore my 12' gamefisher jon boat, I sanded boat down now i need some tips on what products to use to repair body work. Fillers, bondo, primers, and paint. I would like to use something tough and non-slip on the interior of the boat. Thank-you for any and all advice.

1. Fillers-Do not use Bond-O or automotive boddy fillers. They can absorb water. Use "Marine Tex".

2. Primer-Use Zinc Chromate primer on an bare metal. Regular primers that are compatible to the top paint coat can be used on areas that have some paint left.

3. If you have any seams/joints, coat those with "Gluv It".

4. Paint-I like the one part epoxies from Pettit and Interlux. However, some have had good luck with the high end Rust Oleum products.

5. The interior can be made non skid with paint additives (sand).

Most of the products mentioned here are available at the iboats Marine Store.

Welcome to iboats.

We have had a few Gamefisher restorations here and if you use the search function you will see them. As far as I recall (just a guess) is your boat fiberglass?
