Need Opinion on a 2003 Evinrude 225 Ficht on a 2003 21 ft Cape Horn Off Shore

I am new to this forum and need some advice/opinions. I am looking to buy a 2003 Cape Horn 21 ft Off shore with a 225 Evinrude Ficht. I have been doing some research and have seen alot of mixed reviews about the Evinrude Ficht. Is this a good outboard? What should I be looking for when I go see the boat and engine? Want to make sure the motor is sound before I make such a large purchase.

They have a bad name and very poor resale value.
The engine is not easy to diagnose without software, parts are extremely extremely expensive. A couple of injectors and ECU will cost nearly $3K.
If I owned it I'd run it, but I wouldn't knowingly buy one.
