Just want to ask? There is a guy selling a 1956 goodyear 5 h.p. for 150.00. I think that might be too much. Can parts still be bought for this motor? These motors were actually made by Gale which were a part of OMC. Is that correct?

$150.00 doesen't sound bad if the motor is running up to your expectations. Sounds a little high if it is not been run for some time.

The 1956 Goodyear Sea Bee was indeed a Gale motor. In reality it was a 1954 / 55 Johnson 5? including the midsection / lower unit. They used the 54/55 Johnson 5? lower unit through 1959 on the Gale 5.

That's a good motor...go check it out, assess the condition and then dicker the price down unless it's A No. 1 complete and pristine.
