i found this 1973 john allman hartop w/flybridge super clean, motors was replaced 8 yrs ago, no leaks, engine i guess runs really good {havent heard it yet} everything included, i guess the old man that had it just died and they are selling it, what sounds to meto be cheap at $3500 but i think mabe i can knock that down a couple of hundred, sounds to good to be true! and oh yeah it also has a tandem axle trailor with 4 tires that are two years old! so heres my question to any expeirenced boat people or mechanics.. what problems or ther things do i really need to look at before i decide to buy this boat, because i would be moving up around 5ft in class

If it runs ok the next thing to check is the stringers, all boats of that era exept for Tollycraft and Bell Buoy used wood stringers and most have issues by now.

If you are remotely serious, pay a surveyor to go over it top to bottom. There's a fine line between a good deal and a money pit - the surveyor is paid to tell you which side of the line it's on.
