I just bought a boat at auction. It has what I believe is a johnson outboard on it. Problem is, it has no model number on it for me to identify the size of the motor. There is a sticker on the mounting bracket but the numbers are scratched off. I looked on top of the cylinder on the silver plug and still no model number. It has the number 2964981. Any ideas on how I can find out the year and model of the motor?
