newbie to boats.. HELP Tell me the difference

:facepalm: I bought a 1975 starcraft with a 40 horse evinrude...is it a 2 stroke or 4 stroke how do i tell the difference

Also no valve covers, no oil filter, no separate oil reservoir and no place on the engine block to pour engine oil in rather than TCW-III and no crankcase oil drain plug. In 1975 you would not have been able to buy a 40 HP Evinrude 4-stroke (or 1985 either).
