I just swap my cam out and tried 2 balancers and both wont go back on the crank. They go about half way on and stop. Anyone ever have a problem like this.

Fit the bolt that you removed and when you tighten it it will pull the balance into position.

Make sure you smear some molybond grease on the outside of the shaft, this will protect your seal.

Did you remove the crank gear? The keyway may not be seated correctly. Both keys line up with the balancers slot

Thats what i did with the bolt and grease, It just makes it to the seal and then the bolt gets tight and wont pull it in any more.

Also i didnt remove the crank gear. I can see where the damper stops and it stops around the back of the first key way.

You should not be using that large bolt that is torqued down to pull in the balancer. Get a balancer installer to do it. Those threads in the crank can get damaged then you'll be up the creek.

You can rent one from most parts stores or get a cheapie from Summit racing.com or Harbor Freight.
