what should under my floor look like??? and floor alternatives?

hello all,,

just wondering if i were to tear up my wooden floor,, what would i see underneith it,, my boat is a 1998, 18 foot fiberglass boat... i would imagine that most boats would be constructed the same way...

does anyone have any pics?

also, if one day my wood floor needed to be replaced.. is there something else other than wood i could use? some kind of plastic or something that will not rot?
