Does anyone have a diagram for how the spark plugs connect to their respectful places on the distributer cap?

Do you have a Nerc serial number for the engine. I can give you a picture of how it was from the factory, but if anyone ever took the distributor out and put it back in in a different place it won't work. You would then have to find #1 TDC on the compression stroke, see where the rotor is pointing and follow the firing order.

The serial # is OLO12022. It has the flat opening on the distributer cap, so hopefully if it has been turned, the flat opening will be a reference point.

I looked at the manual, and there is no diagram of wire location for the EST distributor. So you are going to have to get #1 cylinder up on TDC on the compression stroke, and look where the rotor is pointing. That's number 1, then follow the firing order (1-6-5-4-3-2) clockwise around the distributor cap.
