i have bin looking at sailboat now instead of a motor boat. so my question is for all that have boats but no trailers how much do you usally pay a year to have your boat hauled in an out every year and storage fees for the winter or to have it hauled to your house? looking into a few 20-24' sailboats with cabins and outboard motors.

If you are looking for a sailboat, why not get a Catalina 22, they are great boats and you can one for cheap with a trailer. Anything much larger than you might have to get someone to haul it out and put it on stands

well i was looking at a http://providence.craigslist.org/boa/2239460866.html i was considering this one because of it good looks and the trailer and size and for a grand i can't really go wrong. If i get a sailboat it will be within 2-3 months because my job is starting up in a week an a half so i will start to have money then so.

We owned 3 sailboats before we went to power. All of ours were on trailers even the Bristol 27 we lived aboard (at anchor) for 3 years.

These guys are probably the cheapest you'll find on the east coast.

Now, we're again working on a liveaboard, this time it's a 28 footer on a trailer.
