40HP Mercury Tracker What year??????

Hey Everyone,

I picked up a motor pretty cheap the other day. I just wanted to find a few more details on it.

The serial# is: 0G150156

Can anyone tell me a year or anything else about this motor?

Interesting. It has 4 spark plugs. 2 Carbs. It seems like I always manage to buy motors that must have been made in some dude's basement. (Only one made) I never have any luck! Any ideas. I saw that listing searching the internet for it. Thanks for diggin around for me!

Hey Gerry,

I think your right about the 1995 though. If I remember correctly the guy that sold me the motor came off a tracker boat 1995. Just wasn't sure if the motor was the same year. Thanks again. I'm goin with a 1995 unless someone tells me otherwise
