We took our boat out yesterday to an area Lake. We went there often when I was a child so I knew the lake well.
We took the boat to Smith Lake Marina (Speagles as it was know when I was a child).
Bubba was there working yesterday. He told us the water levels were up because of the rain from last week.
With all the reseach I have done about boating and launching a boat...I decided I would tell Bubba that this was our first time taking the boat out.
Boy did he step up to the plate. He backed the trailer down and launched the boat. I started it and pulled up to the dock and he tied the boat up so that the kids and my husband could get in.
Bubba even checked our engine to make sure we weren't taking on any water. He checked the gauges and showed me all about how to operate my new used boat.
We didn't purchase this boat from Bubba but he sure did go way beyond the call of duty.
When we returned for the day, he had told the other Marina worker about this being our first time with the boat. Even that gentleman meet us at the dock and helped us pull the boat out of the lake.
After all that research noting compares to a great Marina with great people. I am sure we would have had problems if we had taken the boat to a public ramp.
