if it's on a 4 cyl, it's a 400 series and. it won't work for long on a 6 cyl. The 4 cylinder lower units have a 13 spline propshaft and are only strong enough for 140hp maximum.
6 and 8 cyl (800 series) lowers use the 15 spline propshaft
