My 1972 Johnson 9.5 runs but does not drain water. I checked the water pump and it was perfect condition. Any Ideas?

The tube could be clogged up. Run a piece of weed wacker line up it while the motor is running to clear it.

9.5s don't have a water indicator like newer motors. I think they have an exhaust outlet at the back that water will "mist" out.Next time you have it running hold your hand on the top of the cyl head and feel if it is warm.
