Difference between a 2003 Mercruiser Head and a 1992

Is there any difference between the 2003 Mercruiser 3.0L head and the 1992? I have a crack in the head and a guy has a 1992 for sale. I heard the opennings to the exhaust manifold might not be the same. Does anyone know. I am definitely not a mechanic and would appreciate any assistance.
