3.0 Volvo penta skipping and water in the oil

I have a 1989 four winns with a Volvo penta motor in it The motor has started skipping when it gets hot and i noticed water in the oil does anyone have any suggestions on what it could be?

Do a compression check. Then you will probably have to pull the head. My first guess (and only that without some diagnostic) is a head gasket or crack in the cyl/head/block. This could also cause the missing as the coolant may also be spraying into a cylinder and killing the plug. a 3.0 is a good lasting engine, but only with the required regular maintenance. Problems are head gasket, cracked head and/or cylinder wall.

Ayuh,.... That sentence says it needs an Impeller, 'n possibly it has a cracked block....

What Have you Checked,..??

How much water are we talking about? Did it raise the oil level on the dipstick? Is the oil real thick and milky looking?
