Evinrude 115hp, pops up when driving

Hi.. I have a 115 hp Evinrude that when going down the lake at a moderate speed the motor pops up when you hit a wave and cuts off. I do not see a latch to lock it down. or I may just not be looking in the right spot. ANy help would be welcomed.

IS the tilt / Trim assy on the motor bracket? If you bought it used someone might have taken it off. If that is the case there is nothing holding the motor from comming up. Don't know have to see.

what happens when you go in reverse???

does the motor climb up?? or is all ok???

how fast have you gone in reverse??

how long have you had the boat and motor together????

or how many times have you used the boat motor ??

what year motor is it???

if you dont know, whats the model number?
