i have an 89 searay 180 with an alpha one drive, i hit something in the water on my local lake a took a chunk out of my prop at i was only idleing in a no wake zone. My problem is immediately after, the lower unit would go into gear no problem and idle at very low speed but it makes a noise and when you give it throttle it doesnt go any faster and makes a loud clicking noise. Could it possible be something as easy as adjusting a shift cable. Any help would be apreciated, thanks Nick

Ayuh,... Drain the drive oil, 'n look for debris,...

I really doubt it's as simple as a cable adjustment...

You may have spun the hub on the prop might try a different prop.
You should also remove the prop and see if you still have the clicking noise. If you do, start by draining the gear lube and see if there is any metal in it or on the magnet on the drain/fill screw.

Ayuh,... Check the splines in the coupler, at the input/ u-joint shaft....

Did you pull the Drive, or just the Lower unit,..??
