Need some help. Have a 1977 Johnson 4hp. Lower unit is off for the second time and the impellor has been replaced. No water flow from tiny holes in exhaust housing. I have the exhaust housing off and the water tube off as well. Tried sending water with a hose with little nozzle to try to force it through. No luck. Thinking that water passages are blocked for sure. The engine was sold to me and it was a salt water engine. Is there an easy way to take off head without removing bottom cowling. Bottom bolts are too long to get out to remove head. One is stuck and the bottom bolts connecting the engine to the cowling are stuck too!!!
What is the easiest way to remove the "frozen" bolts?
Any help from someone with some experience with similar issues would be appreciated!
