No seafoam at west marine here in Dallas, TX they stopped carrying it because of the ethanol. They said quickleen by quicksilver is the new stuff.....can i use this instead for decarb?
Re: can i use quickleen instead of seafoam to decarb?
SeaFoam and Ethanol blended fuel are made for each other. They just wanted to sell you the more expensive stuff. You don't need to head to a marina or marine store to buy some of this stuff. Check your local auto parts stores, farm supply stores, and even discount stores like WalMart and Target if they have auto/sporting goods depts.

O'Reillys, Auto Zone, Advance pretty much all of em carry Seafoam. Didn't undertand your comment that West Marine quit carrying Seafoam because of the ethanol. (?). Just curious what you meant.
Re: can i use quickleen instead of seafoam to decarb?
I sent one of my guys to pick up a can at West Marine...I assumed this would be the best location to find it (didnt think about auto parts stores), he returned with a bottle of Quicksilver quickleen and told me the store employee said they quit carrying Seafoam because of the issues it had with ethanol. This is second hand info but that's what my guy told me and ethanol isn't in his vocabulary so I know he didn't make it up. I have no idea why they would say such a thing.
