17 foot Offshore Fisherman. Trying to figure out how to run power up to it. Boat is like a BW, in that it is foam filled. Should I route out a channel and then go back with a repair? Or just surface mount wiring?

Re: Trolling motor on McKee Craft

Im no expert. But I am thinking of threading fuel line through small PVC pipe, maybe w some 45* or 90* fittings to the front of my boat to install a front fuel tank.I would fasten it down securely with straps/brackets.some protection, cheap, and no rust! It would be alot easyer than trying to go under the riveted deck and alum rib covering on my boat.shoot silicone down the ends when done and its waterproof,if you glue the pvc together. Why not wire? You should see my pvc rodholders!Dry fit the assembly as you build it, then thread the wire through 1 piece at a time glue and reasemble.you need to lightly sand pvc if you want to paint it.

Plastic wiring channel like this would make a nice installation.
