Hi All,
New to forum, great info. Bought a 1974 johnson 4 HP for a 10 foot Livingson twin hull rowboat we are going to bass fish with. Pulled flywheel to check condition of electrics, looks great. My question regards flywheel reinstall. I was tempted to put some never seize on the tapered crankshaft and inside steel sleeve of flywheel, but read to remove any traces of oil from these areas before reinstall to prevent flywheel from "walking" at high RPM. Is this true, would like to keep flywheel free for removal when its tuneup time. Anything else I should look at while flywheel is off. Any info is appreciated.
