Getting wet and tired of it

I have 2004 FM 175 SC
I have owned the boat for nearly 5 years and the only real complaint, I have is that when running into heavy stuff, I get soaked from the spray getting blown back into me from the wind. This boat has running strakes but no real spray rails, it is the last riveted boat of that series in 05 they were welded but still dont have much for spray deflection. the boat performs well 42mph with a 20 pitch SS 90hp merc.
This just seems poor for a boat like this that Lowe sells as a "Big Water" boat.
My buddies with smaller boats get a laugh out of it, and they wont touch one because of it.

Islandjoe,
Obviously, the windshield on the FM 175 DC provides a great deal of protection on rougher water. However, there are windy days when even the windshield doesn't protect all.

Cross wind or quartering into it will get any boat wet when the wind is blowing.
