Hello I hope someone can help. My father in law let me have a 1988 Gamefisher 7.5 HP outboard made by force I believe 225.581750. It was not running when I got it and thought it was the Carb so I rebuilt the carb and it was still missing come to find out it was rust and debris on the points and magnets on flywheel and now it is running. The question I have has to do with the idle adjustment screw and the plate that the carb roller runs on. Their is a notch on the plate that the roller runs on is this where the roller needs to be when I am at idle because mine is a good 1 inch away. The only way I can see to change this is by adjusting bar and set screw on carb. If anyone has any information on this please let me know.

Re: Carb and Timing Adjustment

You need to get a manual and follow the procedure for doing a link & sync.
