1999 Bayliner Capri with 3.0L Mercruiser that has cracked head/Block Need Help

If the head is cracked I have found a 87 3.0 engine for a few dollars that is seized but the heads are good. Would the heads work from this engine?

Thanks for anyones help. I know nothing about these engines and this is creating headaches on what to buy. I am trying to avoid an outrageous cost in repalcing a new engine etc....
