compression

i have a E 115 TLCTE evinrude 1983 . it has 92 psi on 1 , 112 psi on 1 and 117 on the other 2. is this ok or do i need a ring job on the one. the motor ran good until i found water in thefuel.

IAccording to the standards from evinrude , there should not be a variation of more than 20% from the lowest to the highest cylinders. IE the lowest cylinder reading must be 80% or more of the highest cylinder reading. 92/117= 79% might wanna look at a ringjob

Yep, those numbers are not good. I would first try the decarbing procedure to see if the numbers improve.

Procedure is under the Top Secret files.

I agree with the de-carb. That should bring it up to snuff. Especially if you have never done it before.
