2011 Mercury 15hp 4-stroke - tilt assist?

I just bought a 2011 Merc 15 four stroke motor for my duck boat. I had to modify the motor mount on the transom to get the motor lower and on a better angle for the boat. Now when I go to tilt the motor up, it is a PAIN! This thing is so heavy and the new motor board makes the angle even more difficult to easily lift the motor.

I can't seem to find a "tilt assist shock" for this motor. Any idea what part would fit? Will it help? My other option was to make a tilt assist lever, but this is just one more "thing" I need to keep in the boat.

You might want to ask this 3 forums down in the Tohatsu forum. All U.S. Mercury engines, 30 HP and below, are made by Tohatsu (they also make the small Nissans too).

I can't imagine what would make it harder to tilt up, is anything interfering with that on its new mount?
