+1 on the Heat and cold tactics.
I use CRC Freeze-Off all the time now, used to be WD-40 (when I didn't know better) to PBlaster for awhile. But found the freezing properties with CRC's stuff to be kryptonite against rust. Use it with heat first then cool it down with a steady stream of CRC's Freeze-Off to rapidly drop the temp.
You can even let the Freeze-Off sit on it before you apply the heat. Then followed by the cool off part after the heat. And always use a tool that will grip it good and give you a fighting chance to break it free instead of frustrating you and rounding more and more off.
