Hey thanks to all the replies. One more question? Now that I have the armature plate off and clean. What type of grease do I put on the crankshaft before I reinstall everything? Thanks

That shaft has to be completely dry and clean before installing the flywheel. Torque to spec, and dont forget the key ;)

Hey thanks. I have some grease that came with the points, do I put that on the magneto cam? you know the part that opens the points?

Yes, but sparingly.
