Hey guys as the title says I have a 2001 Tahoe Q3. The plastics that were used on the dash and the radio bezel look to be a wood grain vinyl decal. I was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to recover or perhaps paint them so that they would look good again. I am open to suggestions.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

I have a 2001Q3 s/f and haven't had that issue as of yet. However you might try wood grain contact paper that I think can be gotten at Home Depot or Lowe's or home improvement stores.

I c.. I tried a vinyl looking stuff but was unable to form it around the contours of the shape very well. I was just going to buy replacements but the bass pro around her is very unhelpful.

I went to the boat show when it was in St. Louis and was not really able to corner any of the Tahoe guys.

Here are some before and after pics. I have never painted with a gun before but I think they turned out pretty good. Went to a few shops around here and no one wanted to touch them. Either way what do you think? I am getting the stickers redone if I can find another shop that can do foam ones.

Now I did find this site if your wanting to try the vinyl approach again. Looks like it be a little bit of a pain but it turns out looking good. They have four different wood grains to choose from. The vinyl does seem a bit expensive IMHO. The video shows how they applied it to a car interior. They say it can be used in a marine aspect also though.
