how do you put this fuel pump kit together 1981 evenrude 115 hp

i rebuilt my carbs and i am still having issues with my motor shutting off after running at max speed. It takes about a min. So i ordered the rebuilding kit but it did not come with instructions on how to put it together.. can someone help me out please. i uploaded pics of the fuel pump rebuild kit.

These can be difficult to rebuild.

Notice there are two screws on the fuel pump body that hold it to the block#7 in the picture. Remove those screws. Remove fuel lines.

Get over a table for disassembly.

Remove the big screw. Lay the parts in order on the table.

Remove the other screws while holding the pump together with your fingers. (There is a small spring inside that will try to push it apart.)

Slowly release and lay the parts in order on the table.

Reinstall in the reverse order. Put the long mounting screws in backward to line everything up as you assemble the pump. Use a thin feeler gauge or or light shim stock to keep the diaphragm in place when you put the body screws in loose. Gradually tighten them and then remove the shim. Tighten them all the way.

Test the fuel pump before you put it on by hooking up the fuel lines and pump the bulb.

Fuel should not come out of the back of the pump. If it does, disassemble and reassemble until it is right. When it is right, don't forget the gasket between pump and motor......... Whew hope this helps

I am not sure which pump kit you have. I can say however that complete in instructions came with two different kits I purchased through my BRP dealer.
These I still have but I doubt if they are faxable or could be well copied. Your local dealer might help you out. They probably use the kits regularly and just throw the instructions away,

ok guys thanks for the help i got it together i got instructions from here from iboats http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=240864&highlight=438616 but it keeps leaking out the sides and when i say leak i mean squirt.

I am assuming that the leak is from the intake cap/seal/screen assembly. This is most common as these can be difficult. Make sure that the assembly is correct and screw the center screw down firmly. Don't over do it.

ok i got it together and installed and now it starts its working great i think. Now the motor starts but just dies when i give it throttle. anyone have an idea or what should i look at. thanks
