I have found an almost new Force 50. Still has the original plugs (blue) and compression is like new. Everything looks great.

Problem was starter would not turn over, new relay and problem fixed.

Now I am getting no spark.

I am getting 12.54 volts to the blue wires that go to the coils with the ignition turned on, but am stumped what to check next.

Thanks!

Re: No spark on Force 50

OK, here is what I have.

It is a Force 50, seriel # 507X7A, I do not know the year.

Kill switch is bypassed. Has points. Points were stuck closed, but they are now cleaned and gapped.

With the ignition on, I am getting 12.54 volts to the blue wires that are going to the coils.

I am also getting 12.54 volts to the white wire going to the top coil and 12.54 going to the brown wire going to the bottom coil. This does not change when the points are open or closed.

What am I missing here???

Thanks!

OK, turned out to be easy, although I had quickly cleaned the points, I obviously did not do a good job. I gace them a solid cleaning and she fired right up!
