Hi,
It came to this pressure difference I assume because of the engine overheating. I was after installing a new impeller and with muffs I had water through the telltale and also when in the lake so I figured all was ok. But it cut out after couple of hours. The engine will start now with muffs, but only getting small dribble of water in telltale.
So was going to start stripping engine down to check rings on pistons for compression problem. Have never done this before and looking for advice on things to be aware of and if I will need any specialised tools?.
There seems to be no actual cylinder head on this engine, so I guess it has to be split at the crankcase to see the cylinders and rings?
Can anyone advise me as to what might be the problem, seeing as it actually goes up to 35psi(this is the top cylinder)? Also, Am I wasting my time because it will cost me a fortune in parts and maybe still won't work?
I have got the Seloc manual, but would be greatful for any extra advice.
