Hello to all. I am new to this site and also to boating having just purchased a 84 Conroy 16.5 foot boat. Overall its in good shape, I just replaced the impeller as it was not "peeing" at all and now it's performing like a champ. My question is this, on the rear of the motor just below the cover there are 2 rectangle shaped holes, I am guessing these are exhaust ports, when my motor is running there is water spitting out of these ports and I wanted to know if this was normal. The motor is running fine with no problems.

Profile??? Fill it out. Those are reliefe ports.Excess water pressure should exit through those holes. The faster the motor runs it should throw out more water. Yup normal.
Keep a piece of weedeater wire around and use it to clean out the pee hole.Bugs and sand clog it.
