This engine starts fine but usually on only 1 cylinder. After a warm up the second cylinder will finally pick up and go. This problem is starting to get worse, as in it's taking longer to start running on both cylinders.
thanks

Info I forgot to mention.
Its a 1995 engine, and the coils and plugs have been replaced

with an air gap spark tester set to 7/16" determine which cyl. is losing spark, then check coil grounds for good contact , unplug each amphenol plug and make sure the pins are getting good contact, if all this checks out, you can swap the coils and see if the spark loss follows the coil < it is possible one of the new coils is bad, not likely tho'>...then I'd lean towards the power pack being bad..if you have access to a known good one, you can use it to test with, if not, you can gamble and buy a new one, orrrrrrrrrrrrr..go to CDI electronics, support, dva explained, and begin testing...an official factory manual is really handy if you plan on diy maintenace and repair

I always thought the power pack would cause both cylinders to loose fire not just one. I do know the lower cylinder is the one though because it is cold while the upper is hot.

this might be far out there, but has there been a compression check done? thinking running without firing for a while would allow oil to completely coat the walls.... then the compression would rise then the cylinder would begin to fire. also as the engine warmed it might help combustion..
just thinking cheap easy check to eliminate a possible cause.

Re: 9.9 miss

baring a bare wire from the sensor or the charge coil grounding out intermittingly..nothing under the flywheel on a 2 cyl will affect one cylinder w/o affecting the other <on a rope start model, unsure of electric start>...the power pack can and does
