looking for a online docking and driving boat simulator and suggestions. just want some thing to past the time while the cold weather passes.

Tried the BoatUS simulator. It could be pretty cool if it was easier to control more realistically. Using the mouse to control the throttle(s) and steering wheel is extremely cumbersome and unrealistic. Also having the chart take up most of the screen (or all depending on view) with no peripheral vision is also extremely unrealistic, IMO. Other than that, it was pretty cool. I lost the most points for getting outside the marked channels a couple times (mainly due to the horrible visibility & controls).

Nifty, nonetheless.

Entertaning yes, realistic maybe. I made it all the way to the resturaunt with 100% but while i was looking at the map two boats hit me........ so I got a bad score because i was off to the side looking at a map and got hit by a drunk boater lol And I also found it interesting that boat will do 30 knts in reverse lol wouldn't that be fun

Some of the scenarios in the ShipSim are good.
