1st time on here. I have a 1989 3.7/lx 170 hp closed cooling system. Boat has been sitting for 4 years , when I fill the tank on top of the ex/manifold the water drains out through the water intake hose to the out drive. None going into the motor and not dripping into the boat but I just replaced the gimbal and have the out drive off and it leeks out my 3/4" intake hose. I took the tank off and the gasket looks rough but I thought I would see water sitting at the top of the manifold but I don't ? So I am thinking it is mixing together somewhere down lower. This has a log tank on it can that leek fresh and raw water together ? or is there something else I should check ?
Thanks

Pressure test the heat exchanger. You will probably find your problem.

Sounds like yer either Missing some pieces, or the exchanger is full of holes, where there shouldn't be...
