I'm having trouble locating wiring diagrams for the new BRP controls.
I'm currently in the process of converting from tiller to remote controls. I was able to come accross a new BRP pre-wired remote control. I tried getting controls for the vintage of my motor, but I struck out twice from ebay (I was sent crap that wasn't quite accurate to the description and picture).
Given my bad luck with ebay, I purchased this new fancy BRP control new. As many of you know, this control has the 6-pin Duescht connectors (rather than the red plug). My 1998 evinrude 30 hp is not pre-wired for me to simply plug into this control. My plan was to find out where these wires need to go and wire it myself, but:
1. I can't find a wiring diagram to locate the attachment of all these wires.
2. Do I need special stay-con connectors to endure the wet environment (or some type of paste to protect the connections)?
Any advice is much appreciated!
