Hello.I have a 27' thundercraft with omc outdrives underneath the cobra symbal on the out drive is an inspection hole with a threaded stainless bolt and o ring assembly.Any how the plastic ring insert on mine broke and i'm told these parts no longer exist has anyone had this problem and how did you resolve it.

There was no oring, there was a ss plate held in by that screw. It should NEVER have been removed. It is not even shown in parts breakdowns.
Take the outdrive off, and turn it upside down, the plate is still in the drive. it can't get out. Get a new Stainless steel 3/8-16 pan head screw just long enough to go through the plate, put some red locktite on it and screw it back into the plate.
The screw should be covered by a decal so you can't see it.

oh they still exist I have a 4.3 cobra drive last year got all the original parts and the cobra decal from a boat dealer in chattanooga tn but brain fart will have to dig around to see if i can find the paper work and get part # may take me a few days

found part # all except for the original screw and special nut rest of parts listed below
0307450 omc o ring $1.31
0912314 omc plug-gear hsg $3.24
0314491 omc o ring $1.11
0912315 omc washer $1.42 -should be grey plastic
0911848 omc medallion-Cobra $15.05 <this is tacky glue backing peel & stick covers the screw andnever should be messed with all there just a hole.. but will have to take case apart to get the special nut in hole.. if you took original out look inside water jacket for missing nut..

i had my original screw and long rectangle nut just had to get the plastic washer and o-rings so that why dont have part # for those 2 items hope this helps others
