1984 Black Max 150 Exhaust Tube

Recently acquired this motor and in doing some PM I pulled the lower unit to install new water pump. Something did not look right. Am I mistaken or is the exhaust tube missing?
Serial # 6568407

All cylinders compression test 120-125. Good enough?

Factory exhaust can is still in place and compression is good.

One more question about this motor. I have read on numerous posts on this forum that it is unwise to "lug" an L6 motor below 3000rpm. Is the same true of the V6 motor?

It not good to "lug" any motor. If your going to ski/tube in this rpm range drop 1 pitch on prop to increase pulling power and free up motor.
