I was coming home from Rockford Il. today on a state highway that runs along the river. My kids says "hey Dad theres a boat out there". Now the river is pretty well froze over so I know there isn't anybody out on the water. He says "look right there".
Sure enough, out amid the ice is an older fiberglass boat. Just sittin there, no motor that I could see, but it was sitting pretty low. I tried to get pix with my phone but they just didn't come out.
I wonder if this thing escaped or if it was done intentionally? I wonder what kinda trouble the last known owner is gonna get into?
