fuel pump leak

I have a Johnson 225 1986 VRO - At the fuel pump/vro the gas in barb has a crack and is leaking air into the system, and when pumped hard gas out.

Priced new part over $450.

This leak looks like some two part epoxy would fix, does anyone have thoughts on t his fix?

I would think some epoxy that is fuel resistant could fix the crack problem, make sure it doesn't block the fuel passage..those VRO pumps have very high failure rates...they have led to quite a few post here
