Would it be any of you so kind to give advise or help ?
Before all : I'm french mother tongue, and not always absolutly fluent with technical terms or parts or idioms used by you, guys, for mechanical designation.
Introduction : 1 have 2 of those 4.3 GXi G year 2007 which are basically running fine.
I got them since only 1 year, now, and were served only once by myself.
End of spring 2010 I've changed the high pressure fuel pump on the right engine because it was over heating and wisseling. But I never checked the PSI pressure on this high pressure fuel pump before or after replacement.
The problem : in the middle of last summer season this right engine started "Time to Time" to annoy with the 2 following worries :
1) At harbour, engine cold, starting engine at idle, fine, giving time to warm up engine fine.
Ready to go out of mooring, give action on the Throttle to move : Engine is dying, or Stroking down immediatly.
Than restart the engine at Idle, ignition is fine, and engine is operating well. This did happen about 10 times. And stoped at the end of the summer season.
2) Operating and cruising out on seas, all fine. Engines are at temperature. Than make one stop with the anchor for a couple of hours. Try to restart at idle the right engine which still warm. No Ignition, is not starting. Even if waiting 2 to 3 minuts in between to go.
The only one way to start it up : bring the Throttle at maximum speed (on neutral postion), than the engine start almost immediatly. But must keep on doing a bit of Vroom....Vroom a while with the trottle before coming back at Idle and help the engine keep steady at Idle.
After that when running at low speed or cruising speed out on seas, all is fine, the engine is running well all the time. This happen time to time, not each time.
Yes, I know I'm a bit long to give explanations. And some of you, guys, will give up quick with me abusing.... with words.
Any of you may know the problem : dirty injectors ? the ramp (tub) holding the injector...One valve on injection system ?
Is the first time for me marine engine with Injection system.
Last : one second request, the lasts months my left engine is always keeping at low temperature, no matter the speed and length of cruising. Is around 40/45?C.
When I put my hand on the body holding the Thermostat is warm, but not hot.
Is the Thermostat blocked or keep staying in the "Open" Position ? Must it be served or replaced ? Of course the exhaust manifolds are Hot like normal
Thank's for any help, all the best, chris
