Need help wiring bilge, live well,aerator on 92 Cajun 2050

I bought a used boat and the livewell, bilge, and aerator don't work. I pulled the pumps to test on a battery directly. I can't figure out which wires go where. I can't get to the aerator but I can see with a mirror 2 wires coming out of it. The wiring harness is under the trolling motor battery box and is difficult to access. I have found 2 ground wires two power wires. The problem is I can hook up the bilge ok but then the other two wires leave the livewell pump on continuously and the aerator doesn't make a noise at all. I was just wonder how each item should be wired off each switch. This is my first boat with a livewell and don't know how it should work. On my console I have a two position switch but on the bow it has a 3 position switch that says automatic, off, and livewell. Very confused. Thanks

I moved your thread and there are wiring diagrams in this section. Aerators go bad but iboats sells them too.

If you replace ANY wire just be sure to use marine grade wire.

Livewell switches are one of three types. 1) a simple ON-OFF which is pretty simple. Turn the switch ON and the pump runs continuously. Turn if off it quits. 2) Auto/Off/On or sometimes labeled Auto/Off/Manual. With this system you set the switch to Man (manual) or ON to fill the livewell. You then switch to Auto. The auto position has a timer circuit that runs the pump for a short time to add fresh water and then it shuts off for a couple minutes. 3) The third type is the same as #2 but the Auto circuit is adjustable so there would be a rotary knob to set the on/off time. Your bow switch appears to be #2. To test the livewell pump you should set that switch to ON or MAN.

As for wiring -- if there are only two wires, to each motor, the wiring runs like this:
Hot wire from fuse panel into the applicable switch.
Out of the applicable switch into the motor.
Ground wire of the motor to ground buss or battery negative.

The livewell pump circuit would have a small electronic module near the switch or it may be part of the switch itself.
