stop switch question

I have an older Evinrude 6hp and I'm trying to figure out how to put a lanyard emergency stop switch on it will one of those generic ones with all the different keys on it work and how do I put it on. Also if someone knows the year of this motor that would be awesome model #: E6RCRM serial #: E0320114

Cool thanks for the help Im gonna take it apart tomorrow on my day off and see what I come up with. If I can't figure it out I'll be back but thanks a lot for your time.
