Hi there

I am using my boat in fresh water. What is the difference between these two materials apart from the price?

Thanks for your replies.

Best, popey

On a small motor, not much. When you get into high performance stuff the stainless prop blades are thinner, making it more efficient.

Stainless is tougher. Minor prop strikes are minor. Major ones bend the LU.

Thanks for the information - I have a Mercruiser 165 IL6 on a 5.6 meter boat. Would it make sense to swap to the stainless steel one?

Best Regards Popey
