Very low torque specifications?

I've done alot of work to my fuel system, one step consisted of taking apart my l.p. fuel pump for a cleaning. My service manual specifies .36 lb of torque to a couple screws within the pump valve. I haven't found a tool that can measure something that low, and I'm afraid of overtightening and messing up my fuel flow.

Any suggestions on properly torqing those screws?

Convert the ft/lbs to inch/pounds and use an inch/pound torque wrench. You can also "visualize" .36 ft/lbs. It is 1/3 pound of pressure on a wrench one foot long. In my view, .36 ft/lbs is "simply snug" or put another way, a firm hand with a nut driver or screwdriver.

0.36 ft/Ib = 4.3 In/Ib = 69 oz/in or approx 5.5 oz/ft

That is a very light torque.
