Transmission oil in water when draining Starboard side exhaust riser.

When I winterize my boat engine this winter I noticed there was some red transmission oil mixed with the water that drained from the starboard riser (facing the motor from the front). I haven't checked the power steering oil cooler for leaks yet but on my last fishing trip I had to put more trim oil in the trim pump reserivor because it was very low. My question is, is there any way that the oil from the trim pump can get into the exhaust manifold? I know that a faulty power steering oil cooler can cause oil to be mixed with water in the exhaust manifold. My boat is a 2001 Glastron Gs 249 with a 5.7 Volvo Penta engine in it. I just bought it last year and it only had 200 hrs. showing on the engine hour meter. I would very much appreciate your input on this matter. Thanks!
